DIANA REPUBLIC

It is Monday and the Bears lost (and I mean LOST!!!!) and I am feeling rant-y; so here goes:

1) At what point in time did it become acceptable for people to wear pajamas in public? I am not referring to Mom’s running their kids to school at 7:00am. I am talking about the-midday-shopping-at-the-grocery folks. Too busy to change out of your sleepwear? Or do you actually change from your “sleeping pajamas” to your ”daytime pajamas”? Or is it that you have just gained too much weight to wear pants with actual waists ?

2) If one more oblivious twit chattering away on her (and it is almost always a “her”) cell phone crosses in front of my car AGAINST THE LIGHT – I am going to blow my horn so loud that her conversation will be completely interrupted. That ought to show her. Maybe she’ll never find out what happened on The Hills. ( I really wanted to say that I would run her ass down, but lets face it – I am a pacifist. A very cranky pacifist, but nonviolent all the way.)

3) Does anyone respond to robo-calls? I mean, really, are we supposed to actually believe that we were selected to receive this call rather than just on a longs list of random numbers? And who doesn’t hang up immediately? Between the robo-calls, the other solicitation calls clearly coming from the set of Slumdog Millionaire and the random faxed solicitations on my home fax machine telling me about “Corporate Vacations” someone is wasting a lot of time and money.

4) And lastly… well, I don’t really have a “lastly” right this second. But the day is young and, while this rant has been cathartic, it shouldn’t be long before someone or something gets my panties all in a knot again.

So you have that to look forward to.
